Your emotions are an indicator of what you’re thinking.  Faith begins where the will of God is known. So, if you don’t know the will of God in a particular area, pursue the Scriptures for clarity.  James 1:5-7

Most people wrestle with the conviction whether it’s God’s will to heal them or not.  Once you absolutely know it’s God’s will, that “if” clause is gone (which is major). Proverbs 4:20-22

Point #1:  Healing is part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:24

  1. God is just as concerned about healing your physical body as He is about forgiving your sins.
  2. The healer is already in you, so healing should not be an option. Romans 8:11 Example:  Just like you
  3. don’t doubt your salvation because of the earnest of the Holy Spirit.  Ephesians 1:14; 2 Corinthians 1:22
  4. Many embrace headaches, flu season, diabetes, hypertension to the point they just accept their illness. Isaiah 52:14; Matthew 8:17, 9:35, 8:3, 12:15, 14:14
  5. We are to submit ourselves to the word of God.  We must keep the word on our eyes, ears and mouth, then we can resist the devil having heard from the word of God what our plan of action should be.  He can give you a plan of attack for your healing.  The word resist means to actively fight against.  Testimony of the autistic child.

Point #2:  We must begin to hate sickness if you’re going to overcome being sick.  It is not an option.  John 10:10; Isaiah 53:1-5

  1. It pleased the Father to bruise Jesus because He wants you well.      Isaiah 53:7 – 11a
  2. God punished His own son, so you would not have to be punished.  Not only in the realm of sin, iniquity, and transgression, but also in the realm in sickness and disease and the curse of the law.  Galatians 3:13-14

Point #3: Remember to always look to Jesus as your reason to be healed and not your performance.  It’s all in Jesus, not in works.  The wages of sin is death.  Romans 6:23; James 2:10

  1. In the Old Testament, God’s people would bring a lamb to the priest without spot and blemish.  The priest would examine the lamb and if the lamb was spotless, the person would go free.  Leviticus 1:1-10
  2. Most people feel that God only moves in our lives when we our worthy of it (i.e. praying, serving, doing…)  Don’t put faith in yourself, put faith in your Savior.
